FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

(MANCHESTER, NH) (July 22, 2020)

Dear Granite State Voter:

The QAnon movement is largely a mystery. Except that it is not. The Republican Party has been challenged by QAnon supporters. QAnon believers are clearly becoming part of the party “base,” but they are not acknowledged as a movement within the GOP.

The liberal media have taken notice. The New York Times ran an extensively-researched article. (Please see Link [1] below.) The Atlantic conducted an extensive investigation. (Please see Link [2} below.) And after a congressional candidate in Colorado toppled an incumbent, the QAnon link was noted. (Please see link [3] below.)

Liberal media call QAnon a “conspiracy theory.” In part it is. But it is also a rapidly organizing movement that could form the initial citizens’ resistance to the Democrats if President Trump is defeated for reelection.

While QAnon is not a conspiracy theory – it is much to elaborate and complex to be a simple theory – it is a coherent belief system. Belief systems have at least three levels. First, they usually have a factual basis for the beliefs. Second, there is conjecture and speculation surrounding the beliefs. Finally, there are myths that grow around and provide s surrounding layer for the facts and conjectures.

Republicans are of two minds. President Trump has retweeted QAnon postings. But QAnon-themed clothing is not allowed at his rallies. (Please see Link [4] below.)

I don’t think the Republican Party nationally has an official position on QAnon, but as congressional candidates win primaries and appear on the ballot, there is increasing media scrutiny.

QAnon involves a series of interlocking facts and conjectures, including the existence of the “Deep State” and an international pedophile ring among other allegations. QAnon is drawing international attention. Hollywood is under attack.(Please see link [6] below.)

And there is also an element of hokey, Boy Scouterism involved. Recently “Q” issued a “digital solder oath.” Candidates have taken the oath and General Michael Flynn recently “took the
oath” as well.

Because of my decades-long investigative background, and my exposure of Barack Obama’s lies, I am constantly asked, “Who is Q?” In a very loose sense, QAnon can be seen as an inevitable outgrowth of the Obama campaign and Obama’s enduring legacy. There were masses of “conspiracy theories” about Obama. Most were untrue. But some were true. I never published a false fact about Obama. Indeed, it was my fact-based investigation of the Illinois state senator, whom I first encountered in Springfield, that irritated him the most. He could not dismiss me as, of course, a “conspiracy theorist.”

When I began investigating Obama in 2004 almost nothing was known about the man. I issued a prophetic proclamation in August, 2004 exposing his lies. (Please see link [5] below.) My investigative work became the Rosetta Stone for other authors who looked into Obama’s murky truths. And so, the fact that QAnon evenly morphed out of the anti-Obama movement does not surprise me.

To be clear, I do not deal in or traffic in conspiracy theories. I am not a supporter of QAnon, although the digital soldier oath may be a different matter. But I have been exceptionally successful over the decades in separating fact from fiction, and I am doing a deep dive into QAnon. There are facts behind the QAnon movement and there is an underlying basis for the adherents to Q. But there are other aspects of the movement that are not fact-based. I will do my best to separate fact from fiction.

My current primary is bizarre. One of my primary opponents manifests unstable and irrational behavior. The other one is a phony and crook. So, I could end up as the Republican nominee for the U. S. Senate. Would I be a QAnon supporter? You’ll have to wait and see.

We have a follow-up event scheduled for this coming Saturday in Manchester. Stay tuned.

Sincerely,

Andy

After the Washington Post awards Don Bolduc’s campaign “two Pinocchios” for seeking to mislead and defraud the public, New Hampshire U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin says it is time for Bolduc to withdraw as a candidate for Senator

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

(MANCHESTER, NH) (July 15, 2020)

Dear Granite State Voter:

It looks like Don Bolduc is the most incompetent, or devious, U. S. Senate candidate in New Hampshire history. When he announced his candidacy, I pointed out Bolduc used a convicted stock swindler to narrate his announcement. (Please see link [1] below.) Last year Bolduc suggested Senator Mitch McConnell’s operatives were supporting Bolduc. Where’s Mitch? Mitch dumped Bolduc like a hot potato. (More phony reporting form New Hampshire’s media.)

Earlier this year Bolduc showed a total lack of awareness of the Civil War, a fatal flaw for a retired soldier. (Please see link [2] blow.)

Now the Washington Post, using an exquisite distinction, has awarded two “Pinocchios” (liar’s points) to Bolduc’s “campaign” for using a video associating Bolduc with a military operation, the “Horse Soldiers,” when Bolduc never participated in that operation.

The “Horse Soldiers” were men who fought in northern Afghanistan; a movie was made about them. Bolduc was in southern Afghanistan. He was never part of the actual Horse Soldiers. Yet his campaign issued videos suggesting he was part of the group when he was not.

The Washington Post says Bolduc’s “campaign” has been trying to mislead voters about his service.

You can read the Washington Post for yourself (link [3]). No reasonable person can deny that Bolduc has allowed his “campaign” to mislead the media. In the military, fine distinctions between operations mean everything when it comes to claiming credit for service in actual battles. The men who landed on Normandy Beach on D-Day were unique. If you landed on Normandy Beach two days later, you could not say you landed on D-Day.

To be clear, and as I have said before, I honor Don’s service to the nation and admire him. I have been shot at and targeted in various war zones. I know what Don went through. But his honorable service is not a blank check to be a senate candidate. And no one can hide behind military service to commit campaign fraud as Bolduc’s “campaign” did. The Washington Post distinguished between lies made by Bolduc’s “campaign,” and lies by Bolduc himself. Voters will not make the same fine separation.

Bolduc has no idea how to be a candidate, or run a campaign. In some sense, I feel sorry for him. He is being misused by his supporters and advisers. I warned this would happen, and it is.

Here’s the sad part. Or the shocking part. Neither the Union Leader nor WMUR took notice of the embarrassing national story in the Washington Post exposing their professional gullibility and incompetence because they failed to report on Bolduc’s misleading campaign. The effort by the Union Leader to cover-up the UL’s own journalistic incompetence about Bolduc’s exaggerations speaks for itself about that newspaper’s failure as media.

WMUR’s John DiStaso merely shuffles press releases on his desk and computer; he rarely does any original reporting. DiStaso fell for the Bolduc’s “Campaign” fraud hook, line and sinker.

Can you trust New Hampshire’s home-grown media liars? Hell no. They do more to hide the truth than report it.

As I have said so often. New Hampshire’s media are a disgrace. Over and over again national media have had to come in to New Hampshire to expose local media fraud. Likewise, the efforts by a Bolduc supporter in the Union Leader, Brendan Finn, to rouge up Bolduc’s campaign dishonesty was an ongoing effort to mislead New Hampshire voters. It will not succeed.

Can Bolduc continue his campaign as a retired military hero when his “campaign” has now been exposed as a political fraud? Doubtful. Bolduc has refused to make a full disclosure of how the misleading images in his campaign videos, suggesting he was a Horse Soldier, were photoshopped. Bolduc’s refusal to make the producer of his campaign videos available for searching examination is circumstantial evidence he knows he has been caught in a fraud. But then he also had a convicted stock swindler as a narrator when he announced his candidacy (link [1] below). Bolduc hopes the scandal will blow over. It won’t.

There is a military term for what Bolduc did: stolen valor. Bolduc has a distinguished military career. Why exaggerate his record by claiming credit for an operation where he never served? Because for Don Bolduc, too much is never enough. He can tap dance around the topic all he wants, but he never was a Horse Soldier; his campaign video efforts to suggest he was do an injustice to the many people of New Hampshire who are supporting him. His “defense” claim now that they also used horses in southern Afghanistan is pathetic. They also used asses.

Don Bolduc should apologize and withdraw before he further embarrasses himself. Bolduc’s “campaign” has made Bolduc a later day “Tail Gunner Joe,” another senate candidate who exaggerated his military career.

Is Don Bolduc a serious candidate for the senate? Don’t make me laugh. Are New Hampshire’s media crooked and incompetent? Don’t make me cry.

For shame.

Sincerely,

Andy

P.S. We have more research on Bolduc to come out in the days ahead; we are behind schedule on our promised “Bolduc Week” exposés. You may be surprised by what we know; Bolduc will be embarrassed.

New Hampshire U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin says that President Trump’s endorsement of “Porky” “Corky” Messner, a convicted drunk driver, indicates that once again Trump was betrayed by his own insiders

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

(MANCHESTER, NH) (July 8, 2020)

Dear Granite State Voter:

“Colorado Corky,” a/k/a “Porky” Messner is a drunk driver. The media have ignored and not reported Messner’s drinking problem, with one exception, Tony Schinella of Patch.com (please see Link [1] below).

Am I just airing dirty linen by writing these remarks? Not by a long shot. I will connect up the dots so you see where I am coming from and where I am going. Media corruption and political incompetence and corruption are endemic in New Hampshire.

First, I will show you how President Donald Trump was betrayed by his closest advisers in the White House.

Second, I will explain how the corrupt “Fake News” New Hampshire media will work in concert with the Democratic Party if Messner wins the primary. John DiStaso of WMUR and Kevin Landrigan of the Union leader are puppets of the New Hampshire Democratic Party.

Third, I will produce a list of questions for President Trump to ask Messner before Trump highlights Messner at next Saturday’s Trump rally. Tragically, Trump is almost certainly setting himself up to lose New Hampshire by ham-handedly intervening in the September primary, as I have suggested before.

Trump the non-drinker:

President Trump does not drink, not socially, not “just a little,” not just at all. So, for Trump, alcohol abuse is a serious matter, almost a phobia. A brother died from alcoholism. It left a lasting scar on the president.

1. President Trump the dupe and Messner the Drunk Driver

     a. Trump was betrayed by his own staff

If someone had walked into the president’s office and asked if he was willing to endorse a wealthy candidate he didn’t know, in a state he had to win, but the candidate had a drunk driving conviction in his past, what would Trump have said? Probably “Hell No.”

But Trump’s staff maneuvered and engineered the fateful endorsement of Messner because Trump is easily and often fooled by his “advisers” where political matters are concerned. Trump has the weakest political operation of any president in recent history. That is why he regularly makes decisions and issues tweets that jeopardize his own reelection. So, Trump was played by his insiders, and now he is stuck with a drunk driver as a candidate he has endorsed and who can only cost him votes in New Hampshire if Porky Corky wins the primary. Sad. My guess: someone somewhere along the pipeline got paid off to get Trump’s endorsement.

     b. Messner’s drunk driving is a legitimate issue

Almost no one who is arrested for drunk driving has had only “one too many” on only one occasion. By the time you are driving drunk outside the white lines on a street, the way Messner was, you have a serious alcohol problem. Drunk drivers do not suddenly appear, and then disappear after a single arrest. They usually get smarter and may insulate themselves from their alcohol abuse by using chauffeurs, designated drivers and car services. But they are doing so because they drink too much to be safe on the road.

Messner has apologized and said he only got arrested once. Good for him. But we are not concerned with his alcohol “bust;” rather, we are concerned with whether he is a candidate whom the Fake News media, DiStaso and Landrigan, will blow up just before the election to reelect Jeanne Shaheen.

2. Media whores in New Hampshire are Democratic Party puppets

     a. Am I exaggerating? Hell no!

In 2000, just before the presidential election, the media ginned up an old drunk driving charge against Governor George W. Bush, please see Link [2] below. The Bush drunk driving matter was 25 years old. Messner’s drunk driving conviction? Almost twenty-five years ago. The Bush drunk driving kerfuffle is almost a template for 2020.

Do New Hampshire Democrats use old mud to smear candidates in 2020? You betcha. Please see Link [3] below. They are already doing it. They are masters of the craft.

     b. Local New Hampshire media corruption

In 2016, I exposed before the September primary that a Republican candidate for congress in the Second District was a fraud. DiStaso and Landrigan held back my information until just before the November election, when they suddenly “discovered” my research and exposed/defeated the GOP candidate.

While the Union Leader pretends to be a “conservative” newspaper, it hasn’t been conservative since the end of Loeb family ownership. The current owners have to exist in an increasingly liberal, if not leftist, New Hampshire and so the owners and writers at the Union Leader accommodate the needs of the state Democratic Party.

WMUR is owned by the liberal descendants of the original “Fake News” publisher, William Randolph Hearst, and they are a bunch of liberal trust fund babies. WMUR is immensely profitable, unlike the Union Leader. WMUR’s Manchester employees follow diktats from their liberal midtown-New York bosses.

The state Republican Party’s leadership has been living in the past, when Republicans really ran the state; often leaders are not aware they are being “played” by the local media. But Democrats keep winning and Republicans keep losing and on and on it goes.

New Hampshire’s print media are either dead or dying; in such a state corruption always seeps in to prolong the survival of a newspaper.

DiStaso and Landrigan are obviously aware of Schinella’s story. But they are pretending the Patch story does not exist. Then, when Democrats unveil Messner’s drunk driving charge in October, WMUR and the Union Leader will report Messner’s conviction as “news.”

3. What questions should President Trump ask Messner before showcasing his toxic “endorsement” next Saturday?

Trump questions to Messner:

     a. What is your current level of alcohol consumption?

     b. Did you ever attend or seek assistance for an alcohol or substance abuse problem?

     c. Did you ever attend Alcoholics Anonymous?

     d. Have you ever used a car service or “designated driver” (not yourself) when you were attending an event where alcohol is served?

     e. Are there people in Colorado, where you live, who are potential witnesses to your drinking habits? (Andy Martin will be investigating.)

The Bottom Line:

If Messner wins the primary, he will be exposed by the Fake News media, and he will in all probability take President Trump’s campaign down with Messner’s own loss. Messner is a ticking time bomb, and he will be exploded when the Democrats want him to explode. It is as straightforward as that.

Because Trump’s ill-advised endorsement of Messner undermined Don Bolduc’s campaign and credibility, I have said Bolduc is a “carcass, not a candidate.” But with his drunk driving conviction, Messner is also a dead man walking in the days before the November election.

I am the only candidate with the political experience to smash back at the Democrats and take on Shaheen. That is why DiStaso and Landrigan follow their Democratic marching orders to constantly undermine my campaign. DiStaso and Landrigan will try their darndest to nominate a Republican loser and reelect Shaheen. Wait and see.

Sincerely,

Andy

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

(MANCHESTER, NH) (July 5, 2020)

Dear Granite State Voter:

The Fourth of July is a wonderful holiday because it is a universal celebration. Whatever your status in life, whatever your religion, whatever your origins, you can celebrate on the 4th. We are One.

As the holiday winds down, I’d like to share a few thoughts with you.

Last weekend I was privileged to spend some time with Rockingham County Young Republicans who were hosting an outdoor barbecue.

The Rockingham group had a mix of young men and women who are committed to the Republican Party. As part of my remarks I made an unusual offer. I said that candidates for the state house and state senate who didn’t have a campaign “adviser” could call my office, and I would offer free advice to help them with questions that might arise during their campaigns.

I want to encourage young men and women to run for office. We Republicans have something to offer our neighbors: the promise of a bright future. A future filled with freedom and liberty, but also with challenges and unanswered questions that await every new generation of Americans.

And, driving home, I asked myself, “Who has said it best in the past?” Who best crystalized what I wanted to express? Why President Ronald Reagan, of course. (Please see link {1] below).

President Reagan told us what we need to hear, every Fourth of July, every day of our lives: “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. It has to be fought for and defended by each generation.”

Today our freedoms, the very concept of liberty itself, is under attack. People want to besmirch the Founders, and adopt a radical, counter-revolutionary platform for our future, a future in which the state would be all-powerful and citizens would be nonentities, a Communist Chinese-based system.

It's hard to express a sophisticated, challenging concept in the midst of hamburgers and hot dogs, and so I didn’t deliver these specific comments at the Rockingham YR barbecue. But they will get a copy, just as you are.

There has been so much controversy over the Wuhan virus. I don’t believe it was deliberately created. But the failures of the Chinese Communist Party unleashed a dreaded disease on the world. Like Nazi Germany in the 1930’s, China today is an expansionist power with delusions of world hegemony.

In retrospect, everyone could have done better. Isn’t hindsight wonderful? But as a nation we have done our best to confront the virus. Democracies are not perfect; our flaws play out every day in the public arena. We do not cloak our mistakes in a “Bamboo Curtain.” Because we are robust, democracies tend to make a lot of noise. People disagree, sometimes loudly.

But the United States has weathered the economic challenge posted by the Chinese viral attack better than anyone expected. We found old truths staring us in the face: America no longer manufactured life-saving drugs and protective equipment. Those deficiencies are being corrected. Supply chains are being brought home, slowly at first and then faster and faster.

I strongly support President Trump for reelection. But even if he is defeated, he has changed the course of our nation. I’ll admit, Trump is not a touchy—feely kind of guy. But he is the most brilliant political strategist of the last fifty years, a true visionary.

The radicals may think they can go back to the old way of doing business, the “Obama Way,” but there is no way of going back to Obama-style gridlock.

America is once again called to be the “Arsenal of Democracy.”

Communist China must not be allowed to succeed in its plan to enslave the world.

Which brings me to the domestic protests about the alleged wrongdoing of the Founding Fathers and our current leaders. We do not live in a perfect world. We live in a real world. If a policy is wrong, it can be changed through the democratic process. Mobs are not a democratic form of government. I saw things that need to be changed; so did you. Let’s change them, peacefully.

One of the reasons I am running for U. S, Senator is I am the only credible, experienced candidate who can confront Jeanne Shaheen with the Democratic Party’s and Obama Administration’s failures.

I was there in the 89th Congress when today’s civil rights laws were passed. I predicted Obama’s failures as a leader. Experience means something in politics, even though many candidates pretend their lack of experience is a qualification for office.

The Young Republicans I joined last week have to confront real challenges; they start with challenges of family and work, of leadership at the state level, and, ultimately, the challenge of choosing our national leaders.

As I promised them, I will be there to offer the benefits of my wisdom and experience to young candidates who are starting out. We must ensure a smooth transition from one generation to the next. As a U. S. Senator, I will, in President Lincoln’s words, attempt to “bind up the wounds of the nation” and prepare us for our bright new future. I will be there for every Granite Stater.

New Hampshire has glorious traditions and they must be maintained. They are the foundation, the bedrock of our future successes. The Young Republican generation must take up the responsibility of continuing and enhancing these traditions.

I’ll be there to help and guide them, and I hope you will be too.

In closing, I hope you had a healthy and happy Fourth; may you celebrate many more in the future.

Republicans are here to stay. America is not going anywhere. We led before, we lead today and we will lead into a bright new future. America, not Communist China, represents the future of the world.

God  Bless America, and God bless all of you who are part of and share our great Granite State.

Sincerely,

Andy

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

(MANCHESTER, NH) (June 16, 2020)

Dear Granite State Voter:

Last week I outlined a schedule of future reports on why my two principal primary opponents were not viable U. S. Senate candidates and why their efforts to unseat incumbent Jeanne Shaheen were doomed to failure. On Friday, President Trump endorsed one of my opponents (please see link [1] below), effectively ending General Don Bolduc’s campaign.

I will still go forward with the commentaries this week as promised for “Bolduc Week,” because Bolduc has not withdrawn and he will linger on as a candidate. But make no mistake; Bolduc is toast.

The candidate Trump endorsed is also an ineffective opponent for Shaheen. He is a wealthy Colorado businessman, Bryant “Porky” Messner, whose connection with New Hampshire is so tenuous it is laughable. But Messner has money, no doubt gleaned from a career as a greedy and unscrupulous lawyer, and he is willing to spend piles of cash to win the dubious nomination.

Unseating an incumbent senator of either party is a herculean task. Over the past thirty (30) years Republicans have deluded themselves into believing Shaheen was easy prey. They beat her once. In thirty years. Defeating an incumbent when you lack experience and have no idea how to proceed except by spreading cash in every direction, as Messner is doing, is a doomed approach.

President Trump’s endorsement will effectively cut off Bolduc’s campaign contributions. But the president’s endorsement may also prove costly to Trump himself in the long run.

New Hampshire is an increasingly difficult state for a Republican to win. The Democrats are hyper-organized, with millions of dollars of resources and a well-oiled machine. The Republicans are just the opposite. State Republican leaders have few resources and are not well organized. The party is a shadow of its former strength. There are more GOP “insider” weaknesses that I will disclose in week 3 of my series of comments on the campaign.

There is a track for the “establishment” candidate in every primary. Bolduc and Messner were competing for that lane. There is also a track for the outsider, the challenger, the maverick party member who has an independent vision of how to defeat the Democrats. That’s my track.

Men, perhaps more than women, fall victim to a middle-age delusion that money conquers all. You can buy an expensive car, a boat and even a summer residence in New Hampshire, which is what Messner did. Unlike in his home state of Colorado, Messner also thinks he can buy an election in New Hampshire. But New Hampshire voters are smarter than that.

Bolduc was a soldier who came home to New Hampshire to heal. Bolduc always attaches “General” to every mention, “The General this,” or “The General That…” My own experience has been that military men are not very good politicians, particularly West Pointers. There are exceptions: Secretary of State Pompeo has been successful and appears to harbor presidential ambitions. But for the most part generals do not do well in contested elections.

Trump is very popular with GOP primary voters. He has a very decent-to-outstanding list of accomplishments; but mostly because of his Twitter comments he is still in a close race with a mummified opponent. Trump has a posse that surrounds him; this coterie of supporters influences his actions, not always impartially. It was this inside posse that engineered the Messner endorsement; they will probably come to regret it. Trump in 2020 will probably lose New Hampshire again in a close race, partially due to the negative feedback from the Messner endorsement.

There is a general rule in politics: national officials do not try to pick candidates in state races. You lose as many votes as you gain. Bolduc has supporters, and they will not be happy with the way the Messner endorsement was handled. In recent election cycles, statewide candidates have been separated by a relative handful of votes. In a close race, a few disgruntled Bolduc supporters may hold the balance.

So, while Bolduc is a “dead man walking” as a candidate, his presence may yet have an ongoing, negative influence on the senate race in November.

Bottom line: because he is still in the primary, I will write about Bolduc as I originally planned. But I would say that the president, without even being aware of what he did, has ended Bolduc’s candidacy.

I hope you will find the commentaries on my opponents thought-provoking. I offer experience and wisdom as an alternative, not a fat wallet. As President Trump would say, given the GOP’s record of repeatedly losing to Shaheen, “what do you have to lose” by nominating me as an unconventional candidate to attack her?

But in the case of Bolduc this week, thanks or no thanks to President Trump, I will be writing about a carcass, not a candidate.

Sincerely,

Andy
